For working at lower pressures in kegging and fermentation under pressure, this PRV can replace the higher rated PRVs in your quipment.
Our Keg King Purple Pressure Relief Valve can be used to keep 10psi of pressure on your fermentation, which is under 1 bar and won't negativlely affect ale fermentation ester production, in any of our Pressure Fermenter/Unitank range.
Use these PRVs to back up your spunding device so you can nail the perfect pressure with no need to worry about overshooting your settings.
The purple PRV will lift when pressure exceeds 10psi and will reseal at the end of fermentation when the pressure drops back usually around 8psi.
Please note, there may be a hissing noise throughout fermentation when using these PRVs.
Brewers will need to replace the purple PRV with the red PRV or white PRV to carbonate at pressures higher than 10psi.
